Details
Day 1:Cusco - Hidroeléctrica - Aguas Calientes
Our transport will pick you up between 6:30 am and 7:00 am from your respective lodging near the center of the city of Cusco. Then we will start the trip towards the town of Ollantaytambo, where we will have a brief stop for a period of 20 minutes, to appreciate the area or buy some crafts, snacks or use the services. Then continue the trip to Abra Malaga, which is at an altitude of 4,316 meters, where we will have a short stop to take photos of the impressive snow called the Veronica which is very close to Abra Malaga. Then we will continue our trip to the town of Hidroelectrica, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch. After a short break, the hiking from the hydroelectric to the town of Aguas Calientes will take for approximately 3 hours. Once located in the town of Aguas Calientes you will go to the main square where you will meet our assistant who will guide you to your respective accommodation. Then around 6 pm our guide will wait for you in the main square to meet the group and give you an informative session to give you all the details for your excursion to Machu Picchu that will take place the next day, then take you to a restaurant to have a delicious dinner and enjoy a group moment and then have free time to explore the town of Aguas Calientes or enjoy the Hot Spring in Aguas Calientes.
Day 2:Aguas Calientes( Machu Picchu Pueblo ) - Machu Picchu - Cusco
The second day the group will get up early at 4:00 am,then start the trek to the Machu Picchu citadel where your guide will be waiting for you at the entrance, in order to see the beautiful sunrise in the citadel of Macchu Picchu. This ascent to the citadel will take an approximate of 1 hour and 30 minutes. After enjoying this magical moment, the guide will give you a tour for an approximate of 2 hours, to illuminate them especially of the rich history of the ancient archeological Incas city. Then, after the tour you will have time to walk around to the citadel by your own. It is recommended to start the descent to Aguas Calientes at 11:00 am. so you can have time to enjoy your lunch, and then go head to Hidroelectrica, where we will start our return trip by bus until we arrive to San Francisco Plaza in the city of Cusco, we will arrive to the city of Cusco around 9:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

When to go to Machu Picchu?
It is possible to go all the year, the minimum temperatures vary between 8 ºC and the maximum around 20 ºC.
There are 2 seasons in Machu Picchu: the dry season and the rainy season. The first one takes place between April and October, it is characterized by little rain and a sunny climate. The rainy season runs from November to March and is characterized by constant rains.
Can Machu Picchu be visited by people of any age?
Yes, it can be visited by people of all ages. However, in order to ascend Huayna Picchu mountain, it can only be visited by people older than 12 years old.
