Itinerary
Day 1: CUSCO - MOLLEPATA - CHALLACANCHA - SORAYPAMPA

We start the day picking up from your hotel from 2:00 pm, then we will go in a private transport passing through the towns of Izcuchaca and Limatambo arriving at Mollepata (2900m.snm) where we will be at approximately 5:30 pm, then the Transportation will take us to Challacancha for 1 hour (3380m.snm), from that point our walk will begin in approximately 3 hours arriving at Soraypampa (3900m.snm).

LAGUNA HUMANTAY: Ascent for 1; 30 minutes where we will arrive at the impressive Humantay Lagoon (4220 masl) where we can appreciate the turquoise color of the lagoon and the snowy Apu Humantay

Day 2: SORAYPAMPA - SALKANTAYPAMPA (4100) - PAMPA JAPONESA (4800) - ABRA INKACHIRIASKA (5100) - CHANNEL INKA (PAMPACCAHUA 3800) - PAMPACCAHUA

Very early in the morning we get up to have our breakfast and start our walk to the Inca Trail. Continuing through the valley towards Salkantay we take a side road that will take us to the Japanese Pampas where we can see some lagoons before reaching the Inkachiriaska Pass (frozen Inca Pass, 5100msnm), which is the highest point of the trek. From the pass we will continue to sisaypampa where we will stop for our lunch after a nap we will begin our walk to the small community of Pampacawana (4000msnms) where we will spend the night.

Day 3: PAMPACCAHUA - PAUCARCANCHA (LUNCH AND CAMP)

This third day after breakfast we will begin our walk towards Paucarcancha point where we will have lunch and have the afternoon free to enjoy the magical place, views and visit the archaeological site of Paucarcancha and then have dinner and rest.

Day 4: PAUCARCANCHA - KM 82- OLLANTAYTAMBO - AGUAS CALIENTES

This day we will wake up very early to have breakfast and start our walk towards km 82 we will pass through impressive places we will enjoy the flora, fauna and climate of the place prior coordination with the guide and cook we will take our lunch in half way and then continue until the km 82 along this distance path we can visualize the archaeological site of Llactapata. From this point we will take a transport that will take us to Ollantaytambo to board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes where we will accommodate in our respective accommodation and spend the night. Hours and kms of walk (15 km, 06 hours approximately)

Day 5: Machu Picchu

We will wake up very early in the morning to have a visit to Machu Picchu, where we will have a guided tour of the citadel of Machu Picchu to visit temples, terraces, palaces and platforms, then you will have time to take pictures and explore on your own. Then you will return to the town of Aguas Calientes to wait for your Expedition train at 6:20 PM

Note: If you have mountain MachuPicchu or HuaynaPicchu you would be entering the first schedule from 6AM - 8AM and second schedule from 9AM - 11AM

Schedules day 5:

  • 04:00 - 04:20 Wake up all passengers for the last day.
  • 04:20 - 06:00 Start Trekking to see the spectacular sunrise in the citadel of Machu Picchu.
  • 06:00 - 08:30 Our group will have a private guided tour in the Inca citadel of machupicchu.
  • 08:30 - 10:00 Free time to enjoy Machu Picchu on their own (also passengers who booked for an additional, can climb to the Mountain or Huayna Picchu at 9am with the second group).
  • 10:00 - 11:30 The group will descend walking to Aguas Calientes.
  • 11:30 - 13:00 walk to the Hidroelectrica for the departure time to Cusco.
  • 15:00 - 20:40 returning from Hidroelectrica by bus to Cusco.
